Collection: Harlequin (2003)

We designed the Harlequin Collection in the spring of 2003, and it was one of our fastest selling collections ever. There was something about the rich jewel tones—gypsy red topaz, twilight topaz, smoky quartz—that struck a chord. The pink tourmaline and freshwater pearls brought a softness we loved, and the bold shapes kept it grounded in strength.

This collection was all about detail. We layered in hand-applied granulation, twisted wire, and filigree—all crafted by our silversmiths in Bali. Even the silver links felt special. Many of the pieces were finished with semiprecious beads, giving them movement, texture, and a bit of magic.

Looking back, Harlequin was one of those rare moments when everything just clicked—design, color, timing. We made it with joy, and it showed.
