Double Stone Drop Earrings – Blue Spinel, Rainbow Lavender Quartz (Splash 2009 Archive)

This is where rainbow lavender quartz earns its name: the small cushion at the post reads lavender until iridescent blue moves across it. Below it swings a big oval of blue spinel, briolette cut, checkerboard faceted so light passes through instead of stopping at the surface. Big earrings, but the hand-hammered bezels keep them light, so you get the size without the pull.
